Dr. John Kozy Jr., Ph.d

Dr. John Kozy, Jr, Ph.D. passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at the age of 95. He was the son of Ukrainian immigrants, Ivan (John) Kozy, Sr and Jennie Korapatska Wituck. John was born in PA and left there for New York to pursue a career in music as a trumpet player. After a short period of time in New York, he was drafted into the Army and spent the next two years in foxholes during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he enrolled in college obtaining degrees from Pennsylvania State University PH. D in Philosophy, Cornell University M.A (Comparative Literature), Lincoln Graduate Center MRA (Real Estate), and B.A. (cum laude) from Pennsylvania State University (English and Mathematics). He was a dedicated, experienced scholar, writer, mathematician, statistician, logician and a schooled and published writer in numerous genres including technical documentation. He took a leave of absence from the university to research and write papers on legal and public policy subjects. He was engaged in working as a liaison between the university and the North Carolina legislature, actively writing numerous speeches for various members of the legislature for political advice and campaign help. Also, he helped run two successful campaigns for the office of Attorney General and one for the U.S. Senate. John has written hundreds of published articles and several books and made many guest appearances on Global Research Radio.John was the youngest of four children, all now deceased, two sisters, Katherine Onusconich and Rose Scheryer, and one brother, Stephen Kozie (Delores). Family still living are – Nephews: Peter (Onusconich (Helen), Stephen Kozie (Francine), Thomas Kozie (Jeannie), John Kozie (Karen); Nieces: Donna Onusconich and Cindy Wagner. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Giane Grace Lucky, along with her children which he treated as his own – Robert Todd Lambeth (Katherine), Tessie Lambeth Chavez Smitty (James), seven grandchildren: Amanda Lambeth Bagheri (David), Taylor Lambeth Eldredge (Marshall), Blake Lambeth, Brooke Lambeth, Dillon James Chavez (Leanne), Dani Chavez (Marshall), Tyler Chavez (Mackenzie); 9 great grandchildren: Edie, Everett, Emmett, Marshall, Adeline; Ryan, Ezra Anne, Melody, Charley, and another sibling Iris Mae due February 2027.John had quick wit and loved to laugh. He proudly wore a cap bearing the word “Korea.” For many years, he wrote poems and notes to Giane until macular degeneration took away that ability. Generous, supportive, and kind, John cared deeply for all his dogs, especially ClaraBelle, his rescued wire-haired terrier mix. She died at age 14, one month before John entered in-homehospice care. The day before his death, he said, “Kumbaya,” meaning “God, come by here.” Raised Catholic, John received a visit from the local priest prior to his death. Much appreciation goes to the Dallas VA Home Based Primary Care, special thanks to Dr. Ramos and Terri Wilson RN, Carlota Willis, Social Worker and to Home Instead, who helped John through these last four plus years. Theressa and Heather, who were a source of wonderful assistance. We can’t express in words how much the healthcare team did to create a comfortable and attentive environment to help John, especially in these last few months. John will be buried at the Dallas VA National Cemetery with honors.
Renee Stone
May 29, 1972 – September 25, 2026
Renee Stone, of Seven Points, Texas, was called home on September 25, 2026, at the age of 54. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, family member, and friend who's loving, and kind heart touched the lives of many.
Renee was formerly a resident of Georgia before making her home in Texas. She worked for ThyssenKrupp Elevator Service for eight years before marrying her beloved husband, William Stone.
Renee found joy in the simple things that made life special. She loved going to First Monday in Canton, spending time at garage sales, and exploring antique shops. She also loved cooking and baking, especially when preparing special meals and treats for her husband, Mr. Stone. These everyday joys reflected the warmth and generosity that came so naturally to Renee. Renee's quality sense of humor and strength in stubbornness all made Renee a very Loveable person.
Those who knew Renee will remember her for her loving and kind heart. She was blessed with many friends and a large, loving family, and she had a special way of making the people around her feel cared for and loved. Her kindness, warmth, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain treasured.
Renee is survived by her Husband William Stone, father, Stephen C. Johnston,
Sister, Yvonne Johnston, her children, Thomas Smith, Stephen A. Johnston, William Stone, many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Jane Johnston.
A memorial service celebrating Renee’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 7, 2026, at Four Mile Lutheran Church in Prairieville, Texas.
Renee’s time with us was filled with love, family, friendship, and countless memories. Though she has been called home, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
May Renee rest peacefully in her eternal home, and may her memory forever be a blessing to those who loved her.
